THE STANDOUT MOMENTS FROM ACCESS ALL AREAS

If there's one match you'd have wanted front-row seats for, it's Manchester United's 2024 FA Cup final win over Manchester City on Saturday.

Well strap in, Reds, because thanks to our cameras on the ground at Wembley, we can take you closer than ever to the day that United lifted the FA Cup for a 13th time.

From emotional celebrations with team-mates to our players riling up the opposition fans, we've picked through the standout moments from the latest Access All Areas episode which will make you press play immediately...

IN THE ZONE

Sofyan Amrabat was one of the best players on the pitch in the FA Cup final and, when you watch our footage from just moments before kick-off, you can see just how determined the Morocco international was.

The 27-year-old hugged Scott McTominay, Raphael Varane and Kobbie Mainoo and gesticulated the need for the Reds to be on it from minute one. That mindset was evident in Sofyan's play for the entire match, and he could probably have hurtled around for another 90 afterwards without tiring!

CELEBRATION TIME

Alejandro Garnacho opened the scoring after 30 minutes and immediately slid in front of the City supporters, being joined by his team-mates. Our rivals' fans weren't pleased with this move from our Argentinian winger and, when fellow Academy graduate Kobbie Mainoo made it 2-0 nine minutes later, he proceeded to salute in front of the same set of supporters.

Of course, the United faithful were stationed behind the opposite goal in the first half, making celebrating in front of our own fans difficult but, as every Red will agree, the actions of our young duo - and the reception they received - were a satisfying sight.

One other detail that may have gone unnoticed amid the aftermath of Kobbie's finish was Diogo Dalot giving our skipper Bruno Fernandes a massive hug. Bruno was, of course, the man whose nonchalant no-look flick unlocked the City defence and left Mainoo unmarked to curl past Stefan Ortega.

THE FUTURE IS BRIGHT

Goalscorers Garnacho and Mainoo hugged immediately after full-time and ran towards our supporters to celebrate the win, roughly two years after the duo helped our Under-18s lift the FA Youth Cup.

Moments before, Rasmus Hojlund crumbled to the floor as the emotions of the victory got the better of him, taking the time to process the superb achievement in what has been a successful first season at the club for the 21-year-old Dane.

Garnacho then jumped the advertising hoardings to share a hug with a couple of family members, and they gave him an Argentina flag. Alejandro held on for a prolonged period of time, as the weight of the achievement seemed to lift off his shoulders.

THE LAST DANCE

When the Reds' starting XI was announced at 14:00 BST on Saturday, ahead of the final, two emotions will have crossed most United fans' minds: excitement and apprehension.

Lisandro Martinez and Raphael Varane had recently returned from injury, and were set to begin alongside one another for the first time since February. A key reason behind our staunch defensive record in 2022/23, and in early 2024, Licha and Rapha turned the clocks back to when we won the Carabao Cup at Wembley last season, putting in a sublime display at Wembley.

Amid the post-match celebrations, Varane shouted "Licha, come on!" to his centre-back partner and the duo shared a heartfelt moment in front of our fans.

TAKE A BOW, ERIK

Erik ten Hag was well and truly involved in the celebrations on the Wembley pitch and was quick to praise our supporters, whose undying backing is unmatched.

"Thank you, thank you!" bellowed our manager before bowing in front of the Reds faithful, like a West End actor at the end of a play.

United did put on a show for our fans, with Erik directing every single movement with great precision.

GUARD OF HONOUR

As we headed up the Wembley steps to lift the FA Cup trophy, City formed a guard of honour on the edge of the pitch and clapped United off.

A touch of class from our rivals, and satisfying to see for our players and fans alike.

TAKE ME HOME, UNITED ROAD

The party continued from the pitch to the dressing room, where our cameras had exclusive access.

Players and staff, with Benni McCarthy front and centre, belted out our "Take me home, United Road," chant before repeatedly chanting "United, United, United!" as the Reds celebrated a superb achievement and one that ensured we ended 2023/24 on a high.
